The Doors and BuzzBuy have a bit more in common than one may think

The Doors and BuzzBuy have a bit more in common than one may think

So… it seems BuzzBuy has been playing the waiting game with FB Fund, which is why we have not updated the previous post. Initially, we were told September 22nd, then October 10th, now its “soon”. So, we will see. We have been in contact with Facebook, and was informed we will find out very soon, but again, i’d put those in quotes.

In other news, we are close to wrapping up some big partnerships, and funding.  We expect to  launch beta sometime in Feburary or March, maybe earlier if things get moving quicker. We have been working hard to get the product developed to make you, the consumer, extra happy — and let me be the first to say, you won’t be dissapointed, this thing really rocks!

In other news, we have a new team member, although he is just part time, I’d like to welcome Bow Archer. Not only does he have a cool name, he is a true Ninja Developer. Bow joins us as a part timer from Adobe (where he will remain).  You can check out Bow’s work here. This addition makes 4 employees here at BuzzBuy.

If you have any questions about BuzzBuy, feel free to email william {at} buzzbuy {dot} com. And, we are actively seeking partnerships, inquire with parter {at} buzzbuy {dot} com.

Facebook Fund was announced at F8

Facebook Fund was announced at F8

We entered the FBFund back in August, and are hoping for great results. If you would like to see me Pitching the company it is on TechCrunch Pitches.

The FBFund was started by Facebook, Accel Partners, and The Founders Fund in hopes of helping good apps become better apps. We here at BuzzBuy believe we are not only a good app, but a good business. We have made a LOT of strategic plans recently, which will really catch the web world off guard.

We are very small right now, and the F8 grant will be a big help. The first injection is for $25,000, and the second is $250,000. This is enough seed to get most careful companies into a good beta.

You can read more about the Facebook FBFund here.

BuzzBuy Logo

BuzzBuy lets you sell online easier

BuzzBuy simplifies e-commerce by giving you a widget for your site, and a control panel to update everything. We interface with Facebook, Myspace, Bebo, Hi5, Orkut, Wordpress, and your custom website too!

We believe that it is currently too hard to open a shop online, and it is even harder to look professional with a shop that takes people to another site to make a purchase. We simplify this with a widget approach, users can stay on your site to order. We allow all major forms of payment including all major credit cards, paypal, google checkout, and e-check.

We have special partnerships with distributors and manufactures to help you run your business. For example — if you want to sell customized merchandise simply upload the artwork, choose which items you want to sell and your in business, our distributors will print, and send for you! Want to sell your own items? You’re in luck! Simply stock your store, and we will send you the order info every day.

BuzzBuy aims to kill archaic means of e-commerce, and re-define the way business is done on the web. Help join our movement!
